Tunnel condition investigation

Through our tunnel condition investigation team we have in excess of ten years experience of undertaking these kinds of works and have both a pipe and brick tunnel capability. These surveys we have carried out on a number of drainage and service tunnels nationwide and have successfully identified and reported a broad range of issues including; cracks, fractures, obstructions, debris and all levels of infiltration.

Asbestos investigations and remedial works

In addition to our standard tunnel condition surveys we are also able to work with a member of our supply chain to carryout asbestos management surveys and refurbishment and demolition surveys, plus any associated remedial works. Before the dangers of asbestos were known the material was viewed as a panacea and was used in a vast range of applications. However, in terms of service tunnels, we are particularly concerned with cable linings, rack linings and the actual tunnel linings which frequently contain differing levels and various types of asbestos. All sample materials taken are sent to a UKAS accredited lab for thorough analysis.
